Our vision for Arise Dance Company:

Challenge dancers to commit to furthering their dance education through the development and mastery of each discipline of dance, with greater emphasis on technique, skill, and performance.

Audition Slides for Parents

Artistic Company members are accepted based upon audition and recommendation. Acceptance is a commitment from July or August 2025-May 2026 during which students must have consistent attendance in technical classes and rehearsals, strive to both learn and master choreography, and to represent Arise at regional and national competitions.

Arise Dance Company (ADC) is looking for beginner and elite dancers who have a deep passion to grow their skills as dancers and performers. We will train students from the Taylor, Texas and surrounding areas.

Dancers are required to attend 2 hours of team training per week (Company training is Monday and Wednesday weekly) and at least 1 hour of Ballet or Jazz training Weekly. They will be able to add separate classes weekly for no extra cost. Competition participation is crucial, but families can opt-out of a competition by the December 1st, 2025. Our students will also have opportunities to perform outside of competition for the community, and at our recitals.

We begin accepting dancers into our ADC program at age 5 with no traditional dance experience needed.(Must be 5 by June 2025. All class placement is determined by the dancer’s ability to meet the outlined skills assessed for each level. Dancers placed inappropriately are at a risk for injury, so age and strength are carefully considered during placement. Dancers undergo a twice yearly personal evaluation by Coach J where their progress is accessed and recommendations are made.

Company Audition Open Enrollment begins March 15th, 2025.

*Once enrolled for the audition through our website, you'll recieve the video to practice before the audition. It will also be available on our Youtube Channel starting May 1st, 2025.

Competitive Team Goal

At Arise we strive to provide a solid technical foundation, excellent service, focus on the dancer as a whole and continue to be a leader in dance education in Texas. We believe that when everyone works together, we can exceed expectations, encourage creativity, contribute to our community, and become positive role models.

Our program mentality is a very positive one! We believe a positive approach helps produce a positive outcome, and there is always something higher to achieve. We want our dancers to focus on doing their personal BEST.

For us, competition will always be about motivating, inspiring, and educating kids in a positive environment.

Our Elite Team consists of students ages 12+.

This is an extremely competitive/performance dance company where students train in Ballet, Jazz, and Contemporary genres and also might be looking for agent representation and/or professional level dance opportunities. Students might range from beginner to intermediate level when auditioning, but will transform into elite performers. Our company promotes empowerment, ambition, individuality, hard work, and self worth through the love of dance. Company members have the opportunity to develop skills in many aspects of dance styles from the leading Choreographers and trainers in Texas. This team will have several performances and competitions annually.

Our Mini Team consists of students ages 5-9 (Must be 5 by June 2025)

This is a great option for beginner to intermediate dancers who will train in Ballet, Jazz, and Contemporary genres and also might be looking for agent representation and/or professional level dance opportunities. Students might range from beginner to intermediate level when auditioning. Our company promotes empowerment, ambition, individuality, hard work, and self worth through the love of dance. Company members have the opportunity to develop skills in many aspects of dance styles from the leading Choreographers and trainers in Texas. This team will have several performances and competitions annually.

Our Junior Team ages 9-12 This is a great option for beginner to intermediate dancers who want to train in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, and love performing more than competing. These students are true performers who want to share their love of dance with the world and empower other people with their artistry. Company members have the opportunity to develop skills in many aspects of dance styles from the leading Choreographers and trainers in Texas. This team will have several performances and competitions annually.

Steps to Audition in June

1) Pay Registration fee through our portal: $10.00 (Link is on website)

2) Complete Application. Can turn in by email or bring to studio.

3) Be at Arise Dance Academy for your private audition.

Parents are not allowed to wait inside studio.

(Results for audition are given by phone call to each student that day by 4:00pm.)
